ANALOG DREAMS by RACHAEL EDWARDS
Enter a utopian dream full of psychedelic, surreal and nostalgic imagery. An eclectic narrative unfolds; one which emphasises the environmental concerns and digital dilemmas of the future, whilst also referencing the ancient wisdom and mysticism of the past.
The first Australian exhibition by Melbourne based UK artist Rachael Edwards; exploring the medium of contemporary collage through upcycling and handmade 'cut and paste' processes. Found material is absorbed, assimilated and re-invented in order to create 'Analog Dreams'.
BREATHING SPACE by ELINA GAULT
Through the use of the moving image, text and audio, Elina Gault interacts with interior and exterior spaces to develop installation-based artworks. These works investigate notions of time, space and the experience of ‘presentness’.
Breathing Space engages these notions to explore the distinction between states of observation and integration and their affect on belonging, connection and mindfulness. Silence, void and suggestion of action in her work aims to create tension, anticipation and activation of the body in space.
