BREATHING SPACE by ELINA GAULT
Through the use of the moving image, text and audio, Elina Gault interacts with interior and exterior spaces to develop installation-based artworks. These works investigate notions of time, space and the experience of ‘presentness’.
Breathing Space engages these notions to explore the distinction between states of observation and integration and their affect on belonging, connection and mindfulness. Silence, void and suggestion of action in her work aims to create tension, anticipation and activation of the body in space.
