I sat quietly and closed my eyes
I listened to the silence
I was consumed by the sound
My eyes stayed still
My quiet was close
I was smothered
the darkness was cerulean
Pontus exhaled himself into my lungs
I choked on his vastness
And became the ocean
My eyes opened and above
There was an endless night
A cloth covered in specs of gold
I asked him if I will always be blue
He took away the specs of gold
And his blanket of darkness
He walked away
And I was left with the soft pink light of the morning.

BOYS FROM THE INTERNET by Matto Lucas
There is lot of visual noise in navigating contemporary queer culture. My practice concerns itself with an 'artist-as-anthropologist' study. Within this framework, I have attempted to not only contemplate the semiotic value of symbols and iconography of modern tech-based avatar interactions, but also to represent a series of 'self portrait' of sorts - using the 'other' as a study for the illustrations. What are the value of our connections and communications with each other at the moment? What do these interactions mean to one-another and how do they shape our visual landscape as gay men?

ABSENT PRINCE by Andy Leaf
Since childhood I knew I was born inside the wrong body. The male adolescence I envied was unfeasible, as there was never truly a way to possess it without altering my outside form. I attempt to illustrate the feeling of the internal self we possess whilst dealing with a less than ideal physical reality. Creating this idealised fantasy universe has been a form of escapism from daily bodily torture, and within my work I explore this microcosm I have created.

A GARDEN OF DELIGHT by Júlia Both
Enter A Garden of Delight, the first chapter of an ongoing personal journey to understand a sensitive topic: sex. Studying the portrayal of women in our culture, anatomy, and botany, the artist uses art to help her unpack her insecurities and issues around her body, her sexuality and her connection to others. The result is a series of intimate sensual visions and writings that invite you to reflect, start conversations or simply allow yourself to enjoy them.
