BACK GALLERY JOURNEY by LUKE RION Continuing on from the theme of the previous exhibition ‘Osmosis’, ‘Journey’ is a body of work that further explores a displaced emotional state of identity. Through environment and colour, the paintings expand on the concept of an internalized emotional shift. Over the span of one day, from pre-dawn to late evening, the works follow a series of characters as they traverse different environments, capturing the subtle sense of change that is inflicted upon their sense of identity. |
SIDE GALLERY Compelled and inspired by animals I've been fortunate enough to behold on recent travels, I decided to create a series of studies which attempt to capture the beauty I see in them. Whether they be creatures adored greatly by humans or ones that are typically considered pests, all the animals I have depicted are ones that I find enchanting. I hope my pieces have an almost hypnotic effect that draw the viewer in - much like the experience I had when witnessing these creatures in person - and that the works convey even somewhat of the sense of warmth I felt when witnessing these fauna.

UPSTAIRS GALLERY SPOOKS by NADIA TOUKHSATI "He who is infatuated with 'man' leaves persons out of account so far as that infatuation extends, and floats in an ideal, sacred interest. Man, you see, is not a person, but an ideal, a spook." |
