HOUSE OF GHOSTS

In an old deserted farmhouse sitting silently
on a long forgotten hill the ghost elders summon everyone from the district and beyond. The air crackles, white sparks fly and temperature drops as small black portals open and close - transporting the spirits as they converge upon on the house for a night of drinking, dancing and heated discussions.
"The spooks were havin' their midnight fling, the merry makin' was in full swing, they shrieked themselves into a cheerful trance - when the skeleton in the closet started to dance."
New paintings, drawings and sculptures from artist Barek. A journey into the spirit world cataloging the ever growing menagerie in Barek World. Drawing inspiration from my love of the paranormal, ghost hunting, spell craft, old ghost films and fascination of life after death.

HARD BOILED WONDERLAND
& THE END OF THE WORLD

Drasko and Akemi Ito are predominantly known as stencil artists, using hand drawn work to produce two very different and distinctive styles. While Drasko warps perspective to create stunning 3D illusions, creating a sense of depth and physicality, Akemi pursues images containing the lines that make the very essence of the image. Both artists, by consequence of their style, render a viewer an intrinsic element of the art itself, the art, truly is in the eye of the beholder. |

TINKYVILLE: LAND OF FOLLY

In a unique world of its own proportions, Tinkyville – and its teeny-tiny occupants – exist simply to amuse. Often finding themselves in questionable scenarios, each character persists with a task or an adventure, with unwitting wittiness. They know nothing other than foolishness and folly.
Street artist, Tinky, works with miniatures and found objects, typically making use of gritty street landscapes where laneway fixtures, or missing bricks, become home to humorous dioramas.
In her first solo exhibition, Tinky brings her work from the outside, in. Making use of vintage finds,
a comical new world of Tinkyville is born.

SAME SAME AND DIFFERENT

'Same same and different' is an exercise in portraiture. The works thematically explore human emotion and expression, as opposed to the face or physical body as simply aesthetics, or a facade.
