FRONT GALLERY T.A.O. This photo shoot is a testament to freedom amongst constraints – that in a life in which we are condemned to be free; in which we are burdened with the choice of creating our own pathways, we fall so easily into the trap of allowing others to make such choices for us. The audience, when viewing these images, will see the work of an artist who has decided to make art for themselves – work that aims to inspire the viewer to carve their own individual and unique pathway as opposed to getting caught amongst the greater current.

BACK GALLERY BOTH SIDES OF MY MOUTH At first glance ‘Both sides of my mouth’ is a neon expression of love, gratitude and peace. However, this light catches the edges of other words within the work - words that announces a clear juxtaposition. A resting weep. Cut out of clear plexiglass, an extra sentence is partially illuminated - designed to be invisible and present at the same time. Both sides of my mouth is about what we say, what we don’t say, how we feel, who we hold near (person or community), how we can view ourselves and the connection between thought and emotion. Whoever we are.

SIDE GALLERY H O M I N G H O M I N G is a search for person and place. It’s an exploration of identity, sexuality and gender. It’s an intuitive journey, taking one to physical places while navigating mental and emotional spaces. It is through the process of H O M I N G one embarks on the journey of self acceptance.
