Resurrection is a group exhibition delving into themes of rebirth, renewal, resurgence, restoration and renaissance.  It explores our responsibility towards the environment - as “caretakers” of the world we live in. Scientists have attributed Australia’s mass bush fires to climate change. We have ignored scientists’ warnings on the effects of climate change, and only today, are beginning to understand the ramifications of our actions. Why does it take such mass devastation for us to understand our impact on nature and the environment?

If we could live in a utopia where we live in harmony with our natural surrounds, why are we choosing an alternative way of life and one of destruction? The only way forward for our well being and the sake of environmental preservation is a complete renaissance in the way we exist.

Off the Kerb celebrates its 13th birthday with this large scale group exhibition titled 'Resurrection'.
