FRONT GALLERY COVEN Coven presents windows into a mystical world where supernatural beings reside, described by meticulously rendered forms drenched in pastel hues. These witches are imagined as elemental forces of nature, once human and transformed by magic. Each piece depicts a witch; each explores the idea of what a witch can be. Are they beings of darkness and sinister intent? Are they benevolent custodians of the natural world? Coven invites you to craft your own narratives as you gaze beyond the veil of fantasy into worlds where the surreal and reality are indivisible.

BACK GALLERY QUIET TURMOIL This body of work was intended to highlight not only my local area, but also our place in this world and the delicate balance we need for its survival. As covid hit and our new way of life began in the lockdowns, these landscapes evolved into more than just an ode to our world. They also represent our chaos, love, frustrations, happiness and fears. Everything became abstract. I wanted my work to reflects this.

UPSTAIRS GALLERY ANIMAL INSTINCT This exhibition is a collection of acrylic paintings on wood cut-outs created during 2021. Growing up on a farm surrounded by the Australian bush gave me a strong connection to creatures, nature and the land. As a kid I’d spend hours on horse-back exploring the rolling hills, gullies and creeks. As I got older I’d run for miles along ridge lines. But always, always, I drew. Animals, animals, hundreds of animals; all with highly expressive faces and poses. I also wrote stories, of which I still love to do. I can vividly recall the unbounded energy, joy and freedom that I felt during those days growing up on the farm; immersed in nature, running wild, free and barefoot over hot dusty ground. The spirit of that inner child is still alive and well in my work. The recent privilege of becoming a mother, connecting deeply with my instincts and intuition has only served to strengthen that inner child bond and therefore, my drive as an artist. Those imaginary worlds and creatures from yesteryear have now taken up residency deep within my subconscious. From a visceral, energetic place in my being they continue to grow, transform and take flight out into the ever changing world.
