Borderline

BORDERLINE by Joel Dickens, Mark Rowden, Anne-Laure Druais and Dmitry Kuznichenko
"With memory excavation as our point of departure, Borderline seeks to address the ways in which the past and our history can impact upon the present. It explores the various ways personal, social, political or environmental events, which may seem long forgotten, continue to shape our understanding of the world, our society and our relationships with our fellow human beings.
Our decisions are the building blocks of our current state, of this moment in time. Whatever the outcome of our choices, Borderline attempts to investigate these moments between conflict and resolution, transience and permanence, possession and loss, which are so often the moments at which such choices are made."

4D by Stephen Baker

4D LAUNCH by Stephen Baker

Artist run initiative, Off the Kerb, located in Collingwood in the City of Yarra, fosters and exhibits local artists, curators, designers and sound producers. Off the Kerb, run by a small group of creative minds, proudly embraces the restoration of the Keith Haring mural and the City of Yarra’s support for legally commissioned street art.In 2013, the back courtyard wall of the gallery will be transformed into the 4-D project space, offering an organic environment for street artists to present graffiti and paste up art in a legitimate and safe public arena. The 4D project will exhibit 4 street artists’ work over the course of 12 months. Each work will be displayed on the wall for a period of 3 months. Stephen Baker will present his street art in Autumn, opening on Friday 8th March 6pm - 9pm. Stephen is a Local emerging artist, Freelance graphic and print designer working out of Magic Johnston Art and Design Complex in Collingwood.4-D responds to and celebrates the conservation of the famous Keith Haring mural as supported by the City of Yarra. This project will promote the growing tourist exposure of this heritage mural, as well as the new Circus Oz site, by attracting new and local audiences in their experience of public art. Furthermore, it encourages a shared sense of place by building upon the community’s social, cultural and built- heritage.

Mayor Jackie Fristacky will be opening the event. 4-D is a project funded by City of Yarra.
