HOARDER
By Mitch Walder
An artist is really just a glorified hoarder. So many ideas lay squished in sketchbooks, beg for attention in the corner of the studio or stored in the notes section of our phones. Hoarder is a new body of work by Mitch Walder that dips into the congestion of intellectual hoarding by creating chaotic paintings and drawings. Each artwork uniquely depicts an entropic environment, full of colour and character in which the base of Walder’s imagination derives.

UNBRIDLED
By Amz Kelso
Unicorns were long used as symbols of chastity and purity. Whilst the myths are long gone, the values that made them desirable are projected onto, and expected from, women in our society. Amz Kelso explores this through gouache and acrylic illustrations, and traditional ‘feminine’ crafts. Weaving dream symbolism and Japanese-Popcult influences together, ‘Unbridled’ (her first solo exhibition) slips out of the world’s bridles and explores fragility, womanhood and nature’s struggle against our crafted world.

THE GREAT LEADER SERIES
By Ying Huang
My work integrates art, politics and humor using my own body image with found images from mainstream media and archival materials, drawn from social and historical contexts. I use digital collage to repeatedly juxtapose and reposition myself in my work to expose and interrogate issues of state power, gay rights and equality in culture and politics. The personal narrative is translated into visual representations that can validate the experiences of others who live in similar social environments.

BACK COURTYARD : 4-D
4 artists: 4 seasons:
The 4th Space
Off the Kerb is proud to present its fourth and final installation of 4-D with the collaborative street art of Be Free and Erin Greer.
In March 2013, the back courtyard wall of the gallery was transformed into the 4-D project space, offering an organic environment for street artists to present graffiti and paste up art in a legitimate and safe public arena. 4-D shows 4 street artists’ work over the course of 12 months. Each work displayed on the wall for a season.
For our final installment Be Free and Erin Greer are working together for the last transformation of the courtyard. What a way to end 4-D with a BANG!
