WINDOW DRESSING
By Mitch Vane
I'm a people watcher -
stick me in a sidewalk cafe
and I'll be amused for hours.
One of the things that fascinates me
is how most people project an image
depending on how much care ( or carelessness) they have taken over their appearance.
It speaks volumes about who they are,
what they are interested in .
What tribe they belong to,
or want to belong to.
It is all just window dressing
Part of the human condition.
We are all just fragile creatures
searching for soul mates

FOREVER CHANGING
By Lorena Monsalves
An eclectic mix of influences ignites my creativity; Art Deco, textiles, street culture, fashion, indigenous cultures and colour. My Chilean heritage inspires me to create works motivated by the indigenous cultures of South America and Mexico, their motifs, patterns and colours and mythology are embodied within my work. My art is a reflection of my many loves illustrated in a bold, colourful and detailed form.

FIXED ORDER
By
Louisa Wang and Stuart Gillespie-Cook
Breaking down systems into their smallest components, looking at complexity in the small scale and it’s relation to the whole.
Allowing the viewer to extrapolate out through the use of a kind of gestalt, or pareidolia, to an understanding of larger natural systems. Exploring the reasons we are so easily able to perceive certain images as ‘natural’, or comfortable, the way we as humans look for systems in chaotic forms.
Putting forward the idea that the world is a series of infinite, yet simple mechanisms working against one another.

BACK COURTYARD : 4-D
4 artists: 4 seasons:
The 4th Space
Off the Kerb is proud to present its fourth and final installation of 4-D with the collaborative street art of Be Free and Erin Greer.
In March 2013, the back courtyard wall of the gallery was transformed into the 4-D project space, offering an organic environment for street artists to present graffiti and paste up art in a legitimate and safe public arena. 4-D shows 4 street artists’ work over the course of 12 months. Each work displayed on the wall for a season.
For our final installment Be Free and Erin Greer are working together for the last transformation of the courtyard. What a way to end 4-D with a BANG!
