FRONT GALLERY GODKILLER "I am finished doing what I swore an oath to God 28 years ago to never do again. I've created, "something that kills people." And in that purpose, I was a success. I've done this because, philosophically, I am sympathetic to your aim. I can tell you with no ego, this is my finest sword. If on your journey, you should encounter God, God will be cut." - Hattori Hanzo MACHINEGUN DEV’s debut solo show GODKILLER is an eclectic narrative concept reflecting a dramatic time of change when false idols are torn down and new gods rise to power in their wake. |
BACK GALLERY KINSHIPS Tayla Broekman’s 'Kinships' delves into the relationship between humans, animals and nature. It is held somewhere between the world we know, and a fictional fantasy. Amongst Broekman’s images she incorporates subtle elements of spirituality and tranquility. With influences from Japanese art, art nouveau and pop culture, her collection of Gouache paintings uses flat and tonal rendering styles to present anthropomorphic crossovers and narratives.
