FRONT GALLERY MEANDERING STILL LIFE This series explores an overlapping of the still life and landscape genres utilising scenes from my studio window, my home as well as photographs from my regular walks around the city and travels across Victoria. They are altered and overlapped with each other to create a kind of collage which encompasses my experiences and movements over the past few months. These scenes are paired with flowers either stolen from nature strip gardens on my walks or bought from Coles.

BACK GALLERY GRANITE I'm intrigued by the idea that we are the product of our environment. Shaped by everything and everyone around us. Like a heavy rock sitting in the middle of a flowing river, slowly changing and eroding. This selection of monotype prints are individual moments. Each presented as large granite inspired forms floating on delicate paper. Much like we and our dense existence occupy our fragile world; shaping and moulding each other.

SIDE GALLERY SPARK AND GLOW My artwork celebrates the infinite ways in which ideas and materials can be transformed into vibrant, expressive, visual statements.

UPSTAIRS GALLERY WILDS So often, our relationship with nature is determined by our ability to understand, harness or nullify it. Wilds is a body of work concerned with this fraught relationship. The work addresses our increasing struggle to interact with the natural world within an urban landscape, and how we use built environments to substitute nature’s awe. Shot using film across France between 2020-2022 Wilds journeys from the humbling scale of the French alps, to small bourgeoning moments found between the pavers of central Paris Caspar Conrick is a filmmaker and photographer living between Melbourne and France.
