FENESTRA
by Michelle Le Plastrier, Izzy Voodoo,
& Zeke's Lunchbox

CATALOGUE

Fenestra unites three artists - Michelle Le Plastrier, Izzy Voodoo, and Zeke's Lunchbox - in a world building experiment. In Latin Fenestra means window whilst in biology it describes a small opening or pore in a larger anatomical structure. Fenestra taps into the artists’ shared penchant for world building and visual narrative, and acts as their prompt to create a natural opening into their respective worlds. Each individual work represents a pore to the exhibition’s body. Each Fenestra offers a glimpse into the artists’ imaginary vistas which are equal parts personal and interpersonal reflection.

The development of FENESTRA was proudly supported by HOTA Home of the Arts, through HOTA’s ArtKeeper program, Regional Arts Development Fund and Yarra City Council small projects grant with special thanks to Tully Jugoe
The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Gold Coast City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.

FLYING THE COOP
by N2o

CATALOGUE

This is an invitation to fly the coop and escape the city life. Come and join me in my rural idyll,
a land of milk and honey. Where kids run free, and the chickens rule the roost.  Where fresh eggs come from the farm gate, and neighbours pop round for tea. This country haven exists in another age, a time before I was born, but to which I dream of returning.

N2o (Jo Travis) is Melbourne based stencil artist creating works that evoke nostalgia and childhood, memories. Her work aims to remind us of a time when we did things for the pure joy of it and to inspire our adult selves to relive and embrace this ideal.

LOOK BUSY
by Meg Kolac

CATALOGUE

It’s time to decompress.
We’re done with grieving the loss of being able to hold our loved ones close and we’ve celebrated when we finally could. It is now the season for some serious guilt free couch time. By choice.
Look Busy accepts our need to have a quiet one. To stay in, be alone. To slob about at home. No excuses necessary. Each piece relaxes into a completely viable position to find yourself in.
Any night of the week.
