A loss of ego, and oneness of being occur in the moment of ecstasy; la petite mort; a grand 'deflowering', where one no longer experiences existence as an act of being perceived, but rather as simply 'being'. The rose dissipates. Sub Rosa is a feminine perspective on the sensual, fleshly pleasures of the erotic.

PRECIPICE

Precipice explores notions of identity and subconscious
discovery. Kimberley seeks to apply the honesty of photography to the impact of life-size sculptures to present her subjects in a way that melds classic with contemporary; openness with mystery; reality with imagination; and the subconscious with the conscious self. By creating three-dimensional photographic portraits, Kimberley aims to connect the visual self with the multifaceted nature of the psyche.
